Money Fit is a HUD-approved nonprofit housing counseling agency. We provide education and counseling to help individuals and families understand housing options, obligations, and long-term stability.

How counseling is delivered

Because many services can be delivered remotely, clients can access HUD-approved housing counseling nationwide.
Housing counseling fees and waivers
Some housing counseling services and education programs have a nominal fee. Fees depend on the service provided. A credit report may be required for certain sessions and is purchased directly by the client through an approved provider.

Live counseling and service fees
Fees may be waived for households with income at or below 150% of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services poverty guidelines. See current guidelines: aspe.hhs.gov poverty guidelines.
What Money Fit does not provide
- Direct financial assistance: We do not provide emergency housing funds or monetary payments.
- Legal advice or representation: We do not have attorneys on staff and cannot provide legal services.
- Loans or mortgages: Money Fit is not a lender and does not broker or issue mortgage loans.
- Section 8 vouchers: We do not provide Section 8 housing vouchers. For Section 8 information, contact your local Public Housing Authority (PHA).

Money Fit does not provide direct financial assistance, monetary payments, or emergency relief funds. We also do not provide legal assistance or legal advice, as we do not have attorneys on staff. While we cannot offer legal representation, our housing counselors can provide budgeting and credit guidance that may help you understand your options.
Does Money Fit offer traditional loans, reverse mortgages, or Section 8 housing vouchers?
